Happy Thursday! I’ve been wanting to start a new blog series that highlights alternatives to more drastic solutions to problems, and I’ve decided today is the day to begin. Today’s topic: Instead of that (hair cut), try this (deep conditioning treatment).
It is recommended that we get a trim every 6-weeks or so, but if you’re trying to grow out your hair, like me, the thought of even the slightest trim is cringe-worthy. I’ve been on this kick of trying deep conditioning treatments on my hair and it has allowed me to go months without getting a trim.
Deep Conditioning Treatment Products
There are lots of different deep conditioning treatments for hair out there in various price points. I have been using the Sun Bum brand conditioning masque which is about $19.99 at most stores and the Hask mask packets. There are also many others from reputable brands, which I have listed below.
After shampooing, I just leave the Sun Bum deep conditioning treatment on for as long as I can before rinsing. I typically do the hair masque on days that I need to shave, because let’s be honest, I don’t have time to shave every single day.
My shoes were a gift from Musse & Cloud to celebrate their partnership with Kiersey Clemens that launched in November 2017. They teamed up with respected Actress and Musician, Kiersey Clemons to create and collaborate on the new capsule collection #by Kiers. This collection was designed by Kiersey with the intent “of a collection that appeals to all of the women in my life no matter how different they all are.”
Voted by Vogue as one of the top influential style icons for her generation, Kiersey has chosen unique detailing and leathers for her collection. The silhouettes are unique and will make any woman feel they could wear them on the runway or to the grocery store.
I had been hunting for a pair of neutral clogs for spring, and these Candide #byKiers clogs are so comfy. I always run go size up with Musse & Cloud shoes, so maybe take that into consideration with selecting your size.
