Ever go through the entire week and have no clue what you even fed yourself?
Most of the week I’m so busy taking care of everyone else that I literally forget to eat snacks and lunch.
(This post is in collaboration with Perdue Farms. All opinions are honest and my own).
When 2020 started, I told myself I was going to focus on eating more whole, and focus on making sure I actually eat to help avoid that 2pm binge I find myself falling into.
My go-to lunch is extremely easy, but can be as detailed as you’d like it to be.
Ready for it?
… bagged salad + protein from the previous night’s dinner!
“Why don’t you just MEAT me in the middle?”
Before you click away thinking that bagged salads are gross, give me a chance to explain.
You could have the most boring salad, but once you add some good meat to it, you instantly elevate it at least 2 levels. And that’s better than NOT eating, right?
If you don’t have any leftover meat from your previous night’s dinner, you can use something like the Coleman Organic Breaded Chicken Tenders. You can oven cook them or microwave them if you are short on time and they seriously make bagged salads delish!
Tip: Order groceries from home and have them delivered!
I’ve been in a serious grocery delivery mood, but it’s honestly saving me so much time and money, believe it or not.
I’m able to budget much better because I can see my running total before checking out, unlike at the grocery store.
I have my favorite bagged salad kits saved in my grocery accounts (Target, Savemart, Safeway, etc) so I can easily just repurchase them as needed.

This video is a little throwback to when I received my first meat bundle (so excuse the Christmas decor).
